Harvey Eugene Weathers, Sr.
Funeral services for Harvey E. Weathers, 59, of 21 Davis Dr., Warrington, who died Monday morning [November 19, 1962] in South Walton County near Basin Bayou while on a hunting trip, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday [November 24, 1962] at Freeport Methodist Church with Rev. Otis Guy and Rev. Dan Guy officiating.
Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery with Comander Funeral Home directing.
A native of Reepsville, N. C., Mr. Weathers had resided in Pensacola since 1951. He was a member of Freeport Methodist Church and was a retired chief petty officer in the Navy and a retired civil service employe in Pensacola.
Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. [Margie Sarah Silcox] Weathers of Pensacola; a son, [Harvey Eugene] Weathers Jr. of the Navy; a daughter, Mrs. James R. Derds of Pensacola; two brothers, James S. Weathers of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Ned H. Weathers of Freeport; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Crisp, Mrs. Locie Holder and Mrs. Prue Martin; his mother, Mrs. Charlie R. Stone, all of Gastonia, N. C., and five grandchildren.
