James Bobby Ward

James (Bobby) Ward, 37, of Freeport died Friday night [April 27, 1962] at his home as a result of gunshot wounds.

He was a retired U.S. Navy man and member of the Baptist Church in Freeport.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday [April 30, 1962] at the graveside at Hatcher Cemetery with Rev. Otis Guy officiating.

Survivors include his father, [Ervin] Graham Ward of Freeport: two brothers, Pat Ward of New York City and George Ward of the U.S. Air Force; a sister, Mrs. Mary Nell Downs of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, James (Bobby) Ward Jr., and Billy Joe Ward, both of Freeport.
