Glen Edward Sconiers

Mr. Glen Sconiers, age 55, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away September 6, 2008. He was born May 28, 1953 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Edward and Edna Moore Sconiers.

Glen had been a lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs. He was Baptist by faith and attended First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs. He was actively serving in the 919th Civil Engineer Squadron Air Force Reserves for 33 years as an E-9 Chief Master Sergeant at Duke Field. He also was a veteran of the United States Navy. He owned and operated Scooter’s Fix All. He was also known as the repairman for the Tasty Freeze. He loved his family and friends, and enjoyed cooking for everyone. He was loved by everyone including his dogs.

Glen was preceded in death by his father, two grandchildren Julian and Michael.

Glen is survived by his mother Edna Moore Sconiers; his loving wife Colleen Rae Kline Sconiers of 22 years; one son Glen Allen Phillip Sconiers all of DeFuniak Springs; one step-son Steven Kenneth Looney and wife Nicole of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one daughter Emilee Marie Sconiers of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one step-daughter Stacey Leanne Khan and husband Christopher of Stockton, California; two brothers Tim Sconiers and wife Debbie and Tommy Sconiers and wife Mary Jane all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one sister Pat Thompson and husband Kenneth of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; six grandchildren Christopher Garcia, Kayla Renae Sconiers, Christopher Kahn, Cera Mechelle Sconiers, Kristen Irene Khan and Miranda Danielle Khan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, with Reverend Lonnie Forehand officiating.

Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery, with full Military Honors.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.
