*1941 Jan Miss Lillian Gillis died suddenly in West Palm Beach, where she had resided for sometime. She was youngest daughter of Duncan Gillis of this place and was a teacher inpublic schools of that city. Services were held in West Palm Beach on Monday, followingwhich the body was brought here for interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Surviving are herfather Duncan Gillis now in his 88th year and a siter Miss Estell and a married sister wholives in Washington D C . Howard Wooten about 36 who died Saturday at his home in Louisville, Ky was broughthere for interment in Magnolia. Services were held at home of his only sister, Mrs BradyParrish. He was eldest sone of Mr & Mrs D E Wooten one time residents of DeF. Thefather left here and went to Bagdad where his death later occurred and his body was broughthere to rest beside that of his wife in Magnolia. Howard saw service in the Army. SurvivorsRay, Cecil, and a sister Virginia (Mrs B Parrish). Another brother Herbert met a tragic deatha number of years ago, when an auto in which he and Grady Rutherford, brother of Hermanand Curtis Rutherford, were riding was struck by a passenger train on the crossing west ofthe Harbeson mill, both being killed.
