1921 Jan 27-- Sheriff J M Summerlin, just 17 days in office, Frank Bishop and son Will Bishop and Fern Barrow were all killed in train and automobile accident.  (Lengthy story including M E Savage who escaped death in this accident).  Sheriff Summerlin was about 32 yrs of age, married about 5 yrs ago, leaves his wife, father & mother to mourn his death, all reside at Laurel Hill, Fl. Services held at his home on Saturday. The two Bishop bodies and Mr. Barrow were laid to rest Saturday and Sunday at their respective homes.Wallace Ward was convicted of stabbing Henry Williamson in the neck during Christmastime which resulted in his death. The Ward boy was sentenced to reform school in Marianna. Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson
