June 1917 Obituaries 1917 June 7-- Mr T J McKee, our efficient deputy sheriff died at his home in this city last Saturday nightand was buried at Valley cemetery Sunday with WOW honors.  He leaves a wife and severalchildren. ** Will Blackwell, who is now in the Walton jail, is charged with the murders of Mr & Mrs Bud Davis,(See March 29) several weeks ago, states that he will write a history of his life as soon as he hasvindicated himself of this revolting charge. 1917 June 28--  Mrs Milbra King, mother of Dr John F King, Mr D H King and Mrs Love Moore, diedSunday at her home this city.  “Grandma King” as she was called was born in Baker Co, GeorgiaJan 4th 1831 and had reached the old age of 86 yrs when she died.  She joined the PrimitiveBaptist church in 1865.  She was the mother of 8 children, three of who survive her. FuneralWas held Tuesday at Glendale cemetery. The home of Mr Henry Yon is being doubly affected.  Death claimed little Willie, 6 yrs old Sundaymorning (June 24). The funeral was set for Monday morning, and as the parties gathered at the home for theservice they learned that Mrs Yon had given birth some 3 hrs earlier to a little boy & little girl, borndead.  Thus there were 3 dead lambs.  The funeral services were deferred until noon and conductedat the cemetery of the Presbyterian Church. Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson
