James William Sconiers
James W. Sconiers, 60, 1411 Van Buren Ave., died Saturday morning [February 17, 1962] at a local hospital after long Illness.
He was a native of Walton County and a retired civil service employe at Eglin Air Force Base.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice [Mae Rutherford] Sconiers of DeFuniak Springs; father, [James] M. Sconiers of West Bay; stepson, [Walter] Melvin Slay of DeFuniak Springs; stepdaughter, Mrs. Clyde [Viola Mae Slay] Moretz of DeFuniak Springs; two brothers, Thomas [William] Sconiers of DeFuniak Springs and John Howard Sconiers of Carrabelle, a sister, Mrs. S. W. [Mary Agnes Sconiers] Lawson of DeFuniak Springs.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday [February 18, 1962] at Comander Funeral chapel with Rev. J. C. O'Neal [officiating]. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
