1943 March 25 - D. Harley McSwain Sr passed away Tuesday at Providence Infirmary in Mobile, Ala. A native of Walton he was commissary manager for the Jackson Lumber for 8 yrs. Services conducted from home of his sister Mr G D Newton, Florala, Ala, with interment at Magnolia. Survivors; wife Mrs Minnie Kennedy McSwain, son Corp. D H McSwain Jr, Keesler Field, parents Mr & Mrs W T McSwain, Florala; 2 sisters, Mrs C H McFall and Mrs Newton both of  Florala.
