1946 Oct 31 Mrs Minnie Estelle Hall passed away on Oct 24 and was laid to rest on Friday.Services were held at Cluster Springs.  Survivors include the husband Jim Hall;2 sons, Burl & Floyd, on daughter Mrs Alan Godwin, 6 brothers, Bob, Connie, Oscar,Alan, Horace & Hayes Jones, one sister Mrs Ed Johnston. Lawrence King died at his home in Portland, Fla Thursday Oct 24.  He was 40 yrs ofage and born in Portland.  Services were held at the Methodist Church in Portland onSaturday, with interment following in Hatcher cemetery.  Surviving are his wife,Christine Davis King, 3 daughters Mrs Louise Barre, Hattie & Sylvia King,; 4 brothersBennie, James , Griffin, & Will King, 2 sisters, Mrs Malinda Crawford and MrsW H Jernigan. John N Kennington 67, died Sunday in the Pensacola hospital.  He is survived by hisWife, Mrs Margaret J Kennington, one son, J B Kennington, 2 daughters Mrs GlennWilder and Mrs Russell Freeman; 2 grandsons Lynn & Kenny Wilder.  Serviceswere conducted from the Ponce de Leon Baptist church with interment followingin the church cemetery. Mrs Catherine Simmons passed away on Oct 16 and was laid to rest in Mt ZionCemetery. She leaves a large circle of friends to grieve her. Sam Simmons Jr, 2 1/2 year old son of Mrs Annie Lou Simmons, passed away onOct 26 at Lakeside Clinic and was laid to rest in Mt Zion cemetery on Sunday. Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson
