*1925 July 16 Mr & Mrs Claud Lathinghouse’s 8 months old daughter Dorothy died last Saturday.The little one had been ill for some time and her death was not altogether unexpected. *1925 July 30 Mr Ralph Bland’s two children were drowned at Harbeson City.  The boy, 10 yrs couldswim some but went out to far and lost his balance. His mother went out after him and wasdrowning with her 17 month old in her arms.  A man on the bank went to her aid and theysaved the mother & baby. In the meantime the eldest girl ran out to assist her mother anddrowned.  The bodies were taken to Mt Pleasant, near Quincy for interment. Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson
