The DeFuniak Herald - January 1918 - Obituaries

1918 Jan 10--  F J White 70, died at  home of son Guy White in Dothan, Ala on Sunday. Burial took placeTuesday at Geneva,with Masonic honors.  His daughters Miss Bessie, & Mrs Cowbrough arrivedhere Sunday from Bagdad on their way to Dothan.  (Aug 2 1917 Herald – Mr P M Cowbroughand Miss Kate White of this city were married in Florala Al last Tuesday July 31, with RevC B Currie officiating.)(Second Obit) shows survivors are widow, children: Mrs W H Louselle,of Leaksville, Miss; Mrs B R King of Hosford, FL; Miss Bessie of DeF Spgs;  V E White of Mobile,Ala and Guy White of Dothan.  Burial was in Geneva in local cemetery.  1918 Jan 17-- W O H Shepard died Monday and was buried Tuesday in the city cemetery .  He came toDeFuniak some 20 yrs ago.  He leaves a wife, one son and a daughter, one of the children ofthe family having died some 3 yrs ago; also a large number of grandchildren. Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson
